2020 has been a challenging year to navigate as we all work at progressing through the Corona Virus Pandemic. The challenges of quarantining for the high-risk populations across the country have presented an increased level of stress and discomfort, a kind that used to be eased with the company of family, friends and loved ones. This Holiday season, Keller Williams Realty Local wanted to shine an extra spotlight on our elderly community as we ask you to lift them and their families up in prayer today and every day going forward until they can be reunited with their loved ones in person. Our compassion for their unfortunate situation drove our associates to the idea of launching a Christmas Elder Giving Tree.

Our Culture Committee here at KW Local reached out to our local nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, and the Mission of Hope here in Stillwater, seeking material needs for our elderly, needs that may not be able to be met by their family and friends during these challenging times. Each person (and their needs) have a dedicated ornament on our Elder Tree, located at 911 South Main St. Stillwater, OK 74074. We are asking for the community to rally behind our elders and support them throughout this season by selecting an ornament from the tree, purchasing the items and delivering them to the facility. Each facility has a dedicated drop off location for the items where they can be sanitized prior to providing them to the individual.

Our brokerage is also offering the opportunity to receive your ornament electronically, if you want to assist but are working to minimize your exposure within the community. Electronic versions of dedicated ornaments can be received two ways; you can visit www.kwlocalredday.com/ElderGivingTree and submit your email address, we will respond within 24 hours with a photograph of a dedicated ornament to your email or you can send us a private message on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/kwlocal and we will reply within 24 hours (M-F, requests submitted Saturday or Sunday will be returned Monday) with a photo of a dedicated ornament. The Elder Tree will run through Wednesday, December 23rd 2020, our office is open from 8:30am-5:30pm M-F. We will make an announcement via Facebook and the webpage if all our the dedicated ornaments have been spoken for.
